I did a few strain reviews for a friend's site a few months ago and thought you might like to see one of them hear on the news page. If you like it we might make it a regular thing.
Strain Sheet: Golden Goat
Grower: Dank Colorado
The Golden Coat had a nice immediate buzz that settled in with the first hit. It was a good high that faded after about 30 to 45 min.
From the first hit, I felt a tingle in my chest and face that spread into a nice relaxing buzz.
Good strength, Golden Goat is known for having a high content of THC (23 % in this case). Each hit had an effect and a little creep as the high settled in; but nothing to overpowering for a high THC strain.
Control (can you maintain focus, etc.): Control was not an issue, but I found it a giggly and goofy grass. Fun but controllable. Uplifting, humorous and motivating.
Paranoia: Not for me, unless someone is watching the silly I sh!t I might do…
Energy level: Up and steady. Good for motivating yourself during the day, or a good-time party weed.
Look: Pretty and golden with well pronounced orange hairs; some with hints of red. Good for a mechanically trimmed nugget. (Some Trichomes are lost in the mechanical trim processes.)
Smell: To me it has a good Lemony Pine Pledge smell. Kind of a citrus base with a spice like overtone.
Taste: Through the pipe it tasted herby but not spicy, and was smooth and slightly earthy/musty in a good way.
Relieves: I felt up, happy and goofy, so this strain should help with stress, depression, and anxiety. It may also help with minor pain and get you moving when you need a boost.
Positives: Stimulating with a nice punch.
Negatives: Not a major pain fighting strain.
Other notes: Good motivating strain that makes a good time better and makes even boring things entertaining, it should get you through any task.
