The key to fighting cancer is cannabis's ability to turn off the ID-1 gene; the gene responsible for cancer's rapid ability to spread. Scientists from the California Pacific Medical Center recently reported that their research in Cannabidiol, or CBD, confirmed its cancer fighting properties. "What we found was that this Cannabidiol could essentially 'turn off' the ID-1," Dr Pierre Desprez told the Huffington Post. Desprez and his colleague Sean McAllister have been collaborating for over 20 years and are awaiting the go-ahead for clinical human trials.
